How we manage your Google Business Profile

First things first, let's get the basics out of the way:

• Fill out EVERYTHING. Business name, description, hours, address, website, services, and more. We know it's a lot, but it's important, that's why we do it for you.
• Add real business categories. So Google knows what the hell you do. Don't just put "Music School" if you also teach arts or dance. Be specific, we'll help you figure it out.
• Uploading high-quality photos A blurry picture from your 2010 Nokia won't cut it. And you can't just upload once and done, you have to do it consistently.

But if you leave half your profile empty, why would Google choose you?

See the "Profile Strength" circled in yellow on the top right corner?

Yours should be as full as the picture shown, AT LEAST. But do not worry if it's not 100% full.

It's just Google's cheeky way to make you subscribe into their Google Workspace and Google Ads Services.

They DO NOT contribute to your Google Business Profile SEO whatsoever, so you can ignore them.

Reviews - arguably the most important part

Google LOVES businesses with reviews.

The more legit, high-quality reviews you have, the better you rank.

Here's what to do:

• Get at least 10 solid reviews. You don't need 100. Just 10 legit, well-written ones.
• Ask your customers. If you gave them a good service, they won't mind leaving a review. Just ask!
• Friends & family count. If you're just starting, get your close contacts to drop a review. Google doesn't know they're your cousin. And don't give me lame excuses like you're too shy to ask.
• Respond to reviews. Yes, even the bad ones. If someone leaves a 1-star review, handle it like a pro, not a crybaby.

Google sees businesses with reviews as more trustworthy and ranks them higher.

Bonus tip: consistency WINS

Google loves active businesses.

If you set up everything and then go quiet, don't expect to stay at the top.

• Post updates New offers, announcements, photos, anything to stay relevant.
• Keep getting reviews A steady stream of new reviews tells Google you're still in business, a good one too!
• Update your website regularly Special event services, new pages, better content = more traffic.

When all these are done correctly, you should rank significantly higher than your competitors.
